Microgrid Resiliency Assessment for the City of Laguna Beach, CA
As of 2023, Optony is providing the City of Laguna Beach, CA with a Microgrid Resiliency Assessment to be included as part of their Climate Action and Adaptation Plan under development with PlaceWorks. The Microgrid Resiliency Assessment analyzes the City’s critical facilities, municipal or non-municipal owned, to determine locations with high potential to benefit from solar and battery energy storage systems to increase resiliency and self-sufficiency in the event of an emergency. Using Energy Toolbase, Optony’s proprietary tool MDOCs, and Helioscope, the City will have microgrid study and guidance to better inform communitywide implementation of microgrids and a site-specific design plan for a high priority location.
